Company Director & Dance Instructor
Shalayna Pulice brings a lifelong passion for dance and years of experience to her role as an instructor at Altered Productions Institute for the Creative Arts. Trained in ballet, contemporary, modern, jazz, lyrical, and hip hop, Shalayna began dancing competitively at a young age, earning her first national title in 2006. Her performance highlights include dancing at Disney World and participating in the 2005 Inaugural Parade—experiences that shaped her deep love for the art form.
A proud member of API since 2020, Shalayna is both a teacher and a dedicated dance mom. Her daughter has been dancing with API since the age of three, and Shalayna’s involvement in the studio community continues to grow. As a mother of two, she values the role dance plays in building confidence, discipline, and joy in young people’s lives.
Shalayna stepped into the role of the Company's Next Generation Director for the Petite Division during the 2025-2026 season, and plans to expand her role with the Company in the upcoming season. She is excited to bring her diverse dance background to the studio and is passionate about inspiring the next generation of dancers. She looks forward to helping her students develop their skills, express themselves through movement, and grow their love for dance in a supportive and creative environment.
