Kaci McCleery graduated from West Virginia University in 2019 with a B.A. in Dance and a B.A. in World Languages, Literatures, and Linguistics with an emphasis on Chinese. She has taught dance at the collegiate level as a teacher's assistant, as well as at a studio level through her own classes. Throughout her college career, Kaci studied abroad twice, to China for Chinese, and to Guatemala for dance; both performing and teaching. In college, she was a part of Angela's Dennis's company, Alchemy, where she performed at shows and festivals such as the WVDF and Big River Dance Festival. Kaci has trained and worked closely with Yoav Kadda, General McArthur Hambrick, Maureen Mansfield-Kaddar, Doug Varone, Steve Rooks, Gretchen Moore, Bethany Kalalau, and Katreena Snyder to name a few. During her collegiate career at WVU, she choreographed multiple times where her work was chosen to be featured on WVU's main stage productions of Dance Now! Kaci was also accepted into and attended Alvin Ailey's Professional Division Summer Intensive in NYC in 2017. Kaci participated in a group study workshop with Gibney Dance in NYC in January of 2019. Most recently, she was selected and attended Gibney Dance Company's summer intensive for two weeks in NYC. Kaci is currently pursuing a personal trainer certification through NASM (National Academy of Sports Medicine).
